2020, you’ve been a wild ride.

While much about this year has been hard, I am grateful for everything that it taught me.

I learned that we can live with less. Less busy-ness, and literally less stuff as we can fit all we need to live for weeks away from home in the back of our car. And there’s stuff I thought I needed that I don’t. Like manicures and regular haircuts.

I learned what really matters to me - connection. It’s a lot more work to do it now but so worth it.

I learned to be less afraid of what someone else thinks - I have less of a boundary between work Cara and home Cara. I feel like I can be more myself and less afraid of the people on the other end of the Zoom call.

And I learned to give grace to myself and to Phil and to everyone around me.
